The mission of Community Boating, Inc., is the advancement of sailing for all by minimizing economic and physical obstacles to sailing. In addition, CBI enhances the greater Boston community by using sailing as a vehicle to empower its members to develop independence and self-confidence, improve communication, foster teamwork and acquire a deeper understanding of community spirit and the power of volunteerism.

Program Director, Marcin Kunicki, wins US Sailing National Award

Community Boating's Universal Access Program Director, Marcin Kunicki, was recognized by US Sailing at the National Sailing Programs Symposium in Long Beach with the presentation of the Community Sailing Council Award for Outstanding Director of a Seasonal Program.

Winter Instructor-In-Training Program

 Winter IIT Program
The Winter IIT Program is a fun and educational way to learn many of the skills needed to be a fantastic Instructor-In-Training during the summer! This year, we will be offering two classes, both meeting at the same time. Level 1 will focus on newer IITs, and Level 2 will focus on experienced IITs. Both levels will come together to work on hands-on projects to create instructional aids for use by all CBI members.  To view the informational flyer and permission slip, click here.

Work at CBI! We're hiring!

All of us here at CBI are already gearing up for the 2012 sailing season, and we have a bunch of job opportunities available!  We've got seasonal and summer only positions, and we're offering both full and part-time hours.  Work on the dock in one of our three programs, or help serve our members in the front office.  Please note, office and adult program applicants must be at least 16 years of age, junior program and universal access program applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
