The sign on our door says "Sailing for All". Annually CBI serves approximately 2,000 children in our junior program, 350 high school sailors and 4,000 adults. Core to our mission is minimizing barriers to the sport of sailing. To this end children sailing in the Junior Program pay only $1 for the duration of the program. The Adult Program prices are substantially lower than market prices and we provide discounts to persons with special circumstances.
Our sailing season is a full month longer than any other New England program that we know of and we are open for the adult program 7 days per week for 214 straight days starting on April 1 each year. We maintain a fleet of 150 sailboats, windsurfers, and kayaks and 8 safety launches.
Keeping the cost of sailing affordable is an important part of our mission. When we say "Sailing for All" we mean it and we're proud of it! Thus our revenues need to be supplemented with donations to keep our program running.
