Bring a friend, bring your questions, and come see why CBI has been Boston’s home for sailing and community for over 80 years! Our Open Houses are a great way to learn more about Community Boating and how YOU can start sailing, paddling, and windsurfing on the Charles River.

Orientations on the hour:
We will be hosting FREE Orientations throughout the day. Orientation is the gateway to everything that CBI has to offer, whether you’re a seasoned sailor or brand new to boats. Done entirely on the dock, it will include a guided tour of CBI’s boats and facilities, an overview of our classes and programs, as well as plenty of time to ask the questions that matter to you. Orientations will be held on the dock at 10am, 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm.

Boat Rides:
Experience first hand the unique point of view of Boston from the Charles River! Guided 20 minute boat rides between 10am-3pm. No experience needed!

Free Raffles and Gifts:
First 25 people to purchase a Full Year membership in-person will receive a complimentary welcome bag! Attend any orientation for a chance to win a prize at the end of the tour. Chat with our staff at the welcome table on the dock and get a free raffle ticket to win items such as a life jacket, tickets to a dock party, private sailing lessons, and more!

STEAM Activity Station:
A STEAM activity station will be available throughout the day, offering hands-on fun for all ages. Guests can help paint a sail and take part in other interactive STEM-inspired activities that blend creativity, design, and learning in a fun, approachable way!
