We’re looking for UAP instructors for the 2019 season. Ideal candidates are creative, adaptable, able to multi-task, have excellent time management skills, and enjoy a fast-paced environment. Previous experience working with individuals with special needs is a plus.
Instructors will teach beginner through advanced level one-on-one and small group classes with the support of Community Boating’s curriculum and staff resources. A typical lesson track begins in Cape Cod Mercurys (15 foot keel boats). Recreational Boat Rides use 23-foot Sonars. Ideal candidates are creative, love sailing and teaching, are able to work well independently, and have excellent time management skills.
First Aid/CPR and US Sailing Level 1 certifications required. Coast Guard Launch Tender’s (Limited Master or higher) license and/or lifeguard certification a plus.
Universal Access Program Hours:
By appointment only. Some times may be unavailable due to UAP events.
On-water lessons are not held during thunderstorms or very heavy winds.
