Please join us for our annual Halloween Night Regatta on Friday October 30th.
Our Keel Mercuries and Sonars will be used for this event. Decorating and costuming of boats is encouraged and boats should be returned to their pre hallows’ eve condition upon completion of the evening’s trick-or-treating. No single-handing; minimum 2 sailors per boat (only corporeal sailors count towards these limits). Boats will be assigned by the Race Committee in a devilish manor. Reefing will be allowed, and may be required by CBI to prevent ghoulish outcomes.

Schedule:
5:30pm - Skipper’s meeting (come rigged and in costume)
6:00pm - First Warning Signal (haunting begins)
7:30pm - No race begins after this time (the witching hour)
Skipper Requirements:
Keel Mercuries: Must have Mercury Yellow
Sonars: Must have Sonar or Keelboat Red
Registration: Sign up through your member portal

What to Expect:

Looking for a way to chase away the post-season blues? Join us for a fun afternoon of Frostbiting on the Charles on Saturday November 7th! We’ll be getting a few races in before winter truly sets in—then warming up upstairs with hot cider.

There will be loads of hands-on work to do, it'll be fun and interactive. All are welcome! No prior experience required though there is some work that is physical in nature. Coffee, snacks, and lunch will be provided.
Help us clean out the boathouse. Tasks include inventorying PFDs, storing sails, flipping 420s, deep clean of the bays, inspecting masts, and more!
Join us for the Raise the Sails Benefit on Thursday, November 12 from 6:30–10:00pm at The Liberty Hotel in Boston, as we celebrate 80 years of Community Boating and look ahead to the next 80.
Since 1946, Community Boating has been part of Boston’s history. From our boathouse on the Charles River Esplanade, generations of young people have learned to sail, built confidence, made friends, and developed a connection to the river and the natural environment. Today, we continue that work by making sailing accessible to people of all ages and abilities.
This year’s benefit shines a light on our youth and adaptive sailing programs, which open the experience of sailing to young people and people with disabilities. Support from this event helps provide scholarships, adaptive equipment, instruction, and opportunities for sailors who might otherwise not have access to the water.
Join members, alumni, friends, and supporters for an evening of food, music, and a silent auction at The Liberty Hotel. Help us celebrate 80 years of sailing in Boston and support the next generation of sailors and our growing community of adaptive sailors.
