Community Boating, Inc. is a private 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, operating affordable and accessible sailing programming for youth, adults and individuals with special needs under the mission of sailing for all. Membership revenue, fundraising events, and individual donors help us to cover the costs of running these charitable programs. The fee for the program is $50 for the entire season (April 1st through Oct 31st). No member will be refused based on economic circumstances; need-based memberships are available. The real costs of the Universal Access Program are approximately $500 per member for the season. We appreciate additional contributions in the form of donations to the Universal Access Program.
The Universal Access Program operates on a reservation basis. Advance registration is required, and due to limited resources, we are unable to accommodate walk-ins. Once you reserve an appointment, you will receive a confirmation email with any necessary registration documents. You may book appointments online via our scheduling webpage. If you require assistance booking an appointment, please email [email protected] or call the Front Office at 617-651-1209.
Guests and Family
How many people can I bring? Bring yourself plus up to five (5) guests on Guided Recreational Sails, as space on the Sonar sailboat allows, so please bring your whole crew! You can specify the number of seats that you would like to book when you make the reservation. In keeping with our community spirit, members are allowed to book seats on our Sonar sailboats, so you’re likely to meet other great people on your Recreational Sail.
Does it cost money to bring guests? No. Guests will receive complimentary guest cards that they should bring with them each time they visit CBI. If a guest card is lost or forgotten, a replacement card must be obtained at the Front Office free of charge.
Can my guests sign up ahead of time? Yes. Register your guest online or fill out a guest form when you arrive in the Front Office.
