Peter Fay has been selected as CBI’s Volunteer of the Month for April!
Peter is an extremely helpful and positive volunteer. He frequently instructs guided sail and makes new sailors feel confident and welcome. His contributions as a Sonar skipper and volunteer ambassador helped support our April Open House and he continues to be an asset to the community. Thank you Peter!
“I started volunteering at Community Boating in 2020 as a sighted guide through the CBI Universal Access Program and Carroll Center for the Blind SailBlind program. SailBlind is a recreational adult sailing program for blind and visually impaired sailors. We sail every Saturday morning late-spring through early fall. For the past three years, I’ve also volunteered as a guided sail instructor at CBI. My favorite part of being a guided sail instructor is meeting sailors from all different backgrounds and helping them master the skills they’ll need to enjoy their time out on the Charles River.”
