Terry Duncan has been selected as CBI’s Volunteer of the Month for September!

Terry has been an influential member of the Women’s Sailing, Tiller Club, and High Performance racing groups and has helped make CBI a fun, competitive, and inclusive place. Terry is an invaluable resource to those on the dock looking to improve their racing skills or just looking for a friendly conversation. Thank you Terry!

I became a volunteer in 2023 as a way to share my love of sailing (particularly racing) with others in the community. It brings me so much joy to witness a person’s confidence grow on the water after they have participated in a post-race rules debrief, a 420 rigging refresher, or learned a new boat handling technique. The CBI community is one of the most welcoming and eager sailing communities I’ve been a member of and being able to pass that energy onto others through volunteering has been extremely rewarding.
