The National Weather Service has issued an Extreme Heat Warning in our area through Saturday at 20:00. Temperatures are expected to remain in the high 90°s with heat index values up to 112°.
** Modified Operations Wednesday 7/1
- Junior Program morning and afternoon classes will be held indoors in air conditioned spaces, students will not miss any class content if families choose to stay home.
- Adult Program operations will be suspended until 17:00
** Modified Operations Thursday 7/2
- Junior Program morning and afternoon classes will be held indoors in air conditioned spaces, students will not miss any class content if families choose to stay home.
- Adult Program on the water operations will be fully suspended. Shore classes will be held indoors in air condtioned spaces.
** Modified Operations Friday 7/3
- Junior Program morning and afternoon classes will be held indoors in air conditioned spaces, students will not miss any class content if families choose to stay home.
- Adult Program suspended for July 4th Sailabration set-up as previously announced.
** Modified Operations Saturday 7/4
- All program operations suspended for July 4th Sailabration.
- The Sailabration is not expected to be impacted by this heat advisory which expires at 20:00 on 7/4
While on the water drinking fluids is especially important. Remember to bring extra water on the boat with you. We recommend you wear light, loose fitting clothing when you visit. Sunscreen and hats will protect your skin from the sun.
If at any point you feel overwhelmed by the heat, please do not hesitate to request a ride back to the dock. Lower your sail halfway, call 617-248-3850 (Option 5) , or hail “CBI” on marine VHF 72.

Please note we will be rotating our staff through frequent rest breaks for their safety. As a result staff presence may be less visible than normal around the dock. As usual, Dockhouse will always have a staff member available to provide assistance.
Safety Launch Operators will periodically circulate on the river to offer you water.
